Once again EA has ruined what could have been a very big selling game, it had alot of potential and I was very excited about it when I first heard about it. It is too easy even on the most difficult setting and the online, which is the focus of most modern day gamers nowadays, was abismal. By limitng it to 2 vs 2 only it ruled out any chance of such intensity that other games like COD4 have brought to the table. After this and other dissapointments I think twice about buying a game when I see it has been developed by EA all except the FIFA series.

First off, this game was not a disappointment and don't listen to anybody who says that it is. The people who have written a bad review for this game are either blind or just do not appreciate the brilliant gameplay and clever techniques used throughout.
I have only just got this game but am already enjoying it, having started a campaign with my brother. It can get very intense and you will probably end up shouting at one another (even on screen), but in the end it's worth it.
The attention to detail, to me is spot on, and I would not play it if it were any other way. I thought that the graphics were amazing and the list of things that you can do in co-op mode with a friend is brilliant. You take part in dozens of activities together including prachuting, driving and looking out for one another with the newly thought up aggrometer, which allows the other person to be practically invisible to enemy sight, making it easier for you to take up a good vantage point in order to kill as many enemies as you can.
The icing on the cake for me though had to be the vast array of weapons to choose from, and the fact that they are upgradable to every possible imagination, including the addition of shields on weapons and even other guns.
Overall I rate this game 5 stars because it has what I like to call the 'excitement factor'. It is an action-packed game which is sure to keep you on the end of your seats throughout. It is a must have for any ps3 owner and you would be a fool not to buy it. I try to compare this game with others to help you decide for yourselves, but I cannot think of any to compare it with. It is unique, take my word for it.
Thank you for taking the time to read through this review, and hopefully ignore other negative reviews. I hope this helped in making a decision as to whether or not to buy this game.

Haven bought the game solely to play with my brother, I was a little aprehensive as to what to expect.
Visually I was very dissapointed, compare it to the likes of gta and MGS4 theyre pretty poor.
However Gameplay quickly sucks you in . Its easily addicitve when your shouting at your bro MOVE MOVE MOVE, while i cover fire, but with the awkward controls and unclear objectives , I often felt a little lost.
Like I said as a solo game, its ok, but when you spent the last few days playing COD4 you cant help but compare.
However I recomend this game as a good coop with your mate and thats it really.

Army of Two is about 2 mercernaries, Rios and Salem, who are dropped into real world hotspots (such as Iraq and Afghanistan) to resolve conflicts. There is a plot, but nothing worthy of mention, in fact the whole thing reeks of chest beating American patriotism. May work for some, put it completely turned me off.
Yet the controversial subject matter always made this an enticing prospect. The focus is very much on co-op play here, which works well and is entertaining enough.
However, single player isnt so hot. The game just doesent flow, with the majority of levels being a collection of awkward and under-developed set pieces. The 'back to back' mode would have worked much better if it could be activated randomly, the parachuting section makes terrible use of sixaxis (which mercifully can be turned off).
In addition, the graphics are underwhelming, only the menu screens have any of the typical EA presentation. Despite being able to 'pimp'your weapons, the shooting itself isnt much fun.
The aggro meter is a great innovation though, and one of the only mechanics in Army of Two that actually works.
Sadly it isnt until the later levels (like Miami International Airport) that Army of Two shows its true potential. And by then its almost much over. The ending also sets Army of Two up as a franchise, so hopefully the sequel will develop these good ideas more successfully.
