  I agree with a previous review about this being not bad as a car charger so I'm not too fussed about the amount I've paid for it. However, it does not really work as a hands free as the incoming call volume is barely audible. I also find that although it fits together quite well, the whole unit moves around at the slightest car movement and rarely stays in the chosen position. Over speed bumps the whole thing just spins upside down as obviously when connected the phone and holding unit is too heavy for the plug in bendable connector. When you do get it to work as an Ipod it does produce a decent sound through the radio.

  Having read the previous reviews I decided that it was worth a risk for the money in purchasing this item...and in the main I am very happy. The 3G iPhone had a bit of an iffy battery to start with and this did the business,now, along with the recent apple software upgrade things are much better once I charge it in the car. The transmitter is more than satisfactory and the only noise I get is that trill when the phone is finding a network, but that doesnt happen often. I am not sure about the handsfree as I have to switch to speaker on the phone when a call comes in...but it cuts out the music and people can talk to me okay. All in all well worth the money. Watch out for the little plastic bits at the bottom that hold the phone they do slip out!!

  I bought this to use in the car with my iPhone 3G. I wanted to try playing my music over the car radio (no aux input available). I've read loads of reviews about FM transmitters for iPods etc and expected very little from this product as a result. But I thought that, for around £15, a cradle that is supposed to charge my iPhone and also allow me to listen to music over the car stereo at the same time would be worth a try.
  I have had it for a couple of weeks, now, and I'm glad I bought it. It has a good transmitter and while my music collection doesn't come through the car speakers in CD quality, it's not very far off!
  A very good buy at this price. Recommended.

  I purchased this item a few weeks ago for use with an iPhone, and accepted that as it was relatively cheap the quality may not be top-notch!
  Recieved the item in good time, and initially it worked excellently, for both transmitting my iPod tracks through the radio, and also for a hands-free device for the iPhone.
  After only a week of useage, albeit a reasonable amount of useage, the plug part of the device came apart in the socket, and obviously stopped working. Leaving the small parts within the socket! I have tried to mend the device, so far to no avail...

  This product does exactly what it says on the tin! Despite it's suprisingly modest price, it performs extremely well in all aspects. I purchased this unit over 4 weeks ago and have had it in daily use with my iphone 3G in my 4x4 every day. The unit provides a sturdy and sensible height hands free cradle, whilst enabling you to either listen to your iphone's itunes or to receive/make calls completely hands free, using your existing in-car stereo speakers. The unit even lowers the volume automatically when you are listening to itunes on the iphone when you either make or receive an incoming call.
  
  In summary, I have found this unit extremely good value for money and the only tip I would pass on when using it is to ensure that your iphone volume is set to the max before you plug it into the device-that way the output signal is maximised into your car stereo, which avoids any distortion when adjusting the car stereo for volume on playback or 'phone calls. With regards to the 'beeping' reported by some other reviewers, this is simply the digital phone signal from your device 'cross talking' into the car stereo when in close proximity-I found that by simply moving the unit a couple of centimeteres either way by bending the adjustable stalk slightly cured this problem straight away.
  
  All in all - an excellent product!
